(RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA, April 13, 2022) – Julie Szeker, Executive Vice President and General Counsel at US Radiology Specialists, Inc., one of the nation’s premier physician-owned radiology practices, has been elected to the board of directors of the Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA), an industry-leading organization for professionals focused on the business of diagnostic imaging, interventional radiology, and radiation oncology. Since RBMA’s founding in 1968, members have voted each year to elect an all-volunteer board from among its members.
Szeker, who will be part of RBMA’s 2023-2024 class of board members, has served as US Radiology’s general counsel and senior legal executive since the company’s inception in 2018. Prior to that, she was the chief administrative officer and general counsel for Charlotte Radiology, US Radiology’s founding physician practice. She holds a JD from the University of Michigan and a BA from the University of North Carolina, where she was a Morehead-Cain Scholar.
“I am excited and honored for the opportunity to serve as a member of such an experienced, committed, and talented group of board members,” said Szeker. “RBMA plays a critical role in professional development, education, innovation, policy, and advocacy on behalf of our industry and patients.”
“I’m confident this board will focus on strategically leading the radiology business industry forward,” said Bob Still, FRBMA, Executive Director of RBMA. “Our volunteer leaders are committed to delivering trusted educational content, one-of-a-kind networking opportunities, and steady representation on the Hill you’ve come to rely on from RBMA.”
